私は煙草をすわないし、ほんとうのことを言うと、隣にいる人から煙草の臭いがするのだって嫌いだ。だけど時々、煙草をすう男の手の動きに目が吸い寄せられてしまうときがある。この絵は一緒に住んでいるハウスメイトなのだが、彼の煙草をあつかうときの丁寧な手さばきは一見の価値があるように思う。このヘビースモーカーな友人とともに、煙草の臭いすら嫌いな私は今、本を一冊つくっているところ。そのうえ、本の題名は、「Cigarette Meditations.」日本語に訳すと「 煙草の瞑想」だ。
I don't smoke. Moreover, I actually do not like smell of cigarette from people around me. However, I sometimes can not help myself to stop watching how people smoke. This guy whom I've sketched is my current house mate. How he treat his cigarette is worth to have a look. It's somehow elegant. This my friend who loves smoking and I who don't like smell of smoke are now making a book together. I'm quite excited because the book is nary done. Can you imagine the title of our book? The title is "Cigarette Meditations."
